My name is Scooter. I’m a dog. I’m a Havanese, so I’m little (and cute!). I want to tell you a story about Love.
I came from a dysfunctional family. There was this people family of three kids, a wife and a husband. The husband would lose his temper and physically abuse the wife. With help, the wife decided to leave and developed a plan. They had a female Havanese dog (my mom) and the wife decided to drive all the way to Edmonton to mate it with the top Havanese male dog (my dad) in this part of Canada. Her plan was to sell the puppies and make enough money to leave her husband. She almost did it but the abuse became bad. My siblings were sold and I was left behind. I was shut up in a basement for 3 months. I was lonely and I didn’t get socialized. Who would want me now?
In comes Love. A great family heard about me and they bought me, socialized me, gave me a big brother, named Oliver, and taught me how life can be good and friendly. I was a frightened little dog, but not any more. I have lots of love and am now a proud Havanese who believes in himself! I am so grateful. I feel loved.
Thanks heavens for Love – it saved my butt!
