Bev and What’s Next

Bev

“Rather than planting the seeds, see what regenerates.” ~Chris Dierkes

Hello everyone,

As many of you know, I have been on a sabbatical. I love the work I do and the people who are courageous enough to step up to the plate and ask for help. Over the past year, I have stepped back and given myself space to just hang out. I have worked since I was 21, so it has been an interesting year for me!! Actually, I never really felt I was ‘working’… it always felt more like I was sharing and growing and bringing everyone with me as I grew.

Self-growth is truly an experiential experience. It takes awareness, commitment, devotion and accountability. It can be hard work, but it’s oh so rewarding!!!!!!! I have enjoyed every single step.

I can feel it is time for me to move into another part of me. The one that hasn’t really had the opportunity to play in different ways. I know there are parts of me that haven’t had full expression. My adulthood, like yours, has been mapped out with responsibilities. I am now in a place where responsibilities are no longer the same. That means that I can give myself the opportunity to listen to my impulses, and play in other ways that haven’t been available.

So yes, I am changing direction. The word is retirement. I know my first step out will be to continue to travel, and probably Northern India is the next place I will explore. How exciting is this?

Knowing me, I will continue to share in some way. I may send you newsletters as I experience some inspiration. There are many ways of sharing, and I look forward to see what comes up for me.

Is it okay to email me? Yes! I would love to hear from you, and have an update. I would love to respond.

My wish for you all is to love yourself enough to keep growing, and know that growth comes not from blaming others or your environment, but from what is going on inside of you. Keep fighting for yourself… the true playing field is inside you, not outside.

We all have the capacity to learn. Our power and our growth comes from our learning. As you go through life, be open to learning the pieces that are important for you. Take them on, and practice integrating them. They will become part of you. All of us have that capacity.

So, I would like to say to you all, “Go for it!”. It has truly been an honour working with you.

Thank you.

All my love,
Bev

“United we stand, divided we fall.” ~ A phrase used throughout history in reference to governments

Happy New Year everyone!

I would like to share a very interesting analogy. This analogy is about the way we personally govern ourselves, and the way governments rule countries. It compares us human beings to the US system of government. It illustrates how we either self-sabotage (ie. rule ourselves ‘badly’) or integrate our power and move forward to what we want.

In the American system there are 3 levels of government:

  • The Executive
  • The Legislative
  • The Judiciary

The analogy has us look at ourselves from the point of view of all three of these levels of government. They exist inside of us.

  • The Executive part of us decides what we want and what is really important to us.
  • The Legislative part of us is our thoughts, perceptions, and the actions we take.
  • The Judiciary is the judgments of right or wrong within ourselves.

When we are well balanced, all three levels of government within ourselves are integrated and working together to achieve the outcome we choose.

However, many of us are out of balance, which means the levels of government within ourselves are not working together. We have the Executive part of ourselves deciding something is important. Yet, the Legislative defaults to old beliefs that do not support the Executive branch. And then we have the Judicial part of us judging our value, worth, and ability to create what we want so that we end up out of balance. All the levels of government within us are arguing with each other, and we can become stale and stuck and repetitive.

To really get back in our power, we need to integrate the parts of ourselves into one voice. Many of us have different voices inside of ourselves and we are ‘chasing our tails’ rather than being a united voice. Much like the three levels of government!

For myself, I know when I am integrated and when I am out of harmony. My physical body tells me, my emotional body acts up, or I just don’t create what I want.

This would be an amazing year for all of us to watch our focus and keep committed to unifying the different parts of ourselves into one voice.

Personally I talk to myself in the third person, and take the time to clarify what I really want to create. Then I direct the other ‘voices’ in me to get in line with the highest part of me.

As we create peace within ourselves, that will ripple out and have a significant effect on those around us.

Have a great year!

Re-parenting The bottom line is that there is only you. If you carry regrets around how you were parented when growing up, then use that amazing wisdom to take action now to be the mother or father you always wanted. Be that to yourself now. Give to yourself what you would have wanted. Old dynamics are meant to offer pearls of wisdom for us to move forward and be our own solution. They are not meant to be carried around as a stagnant regret. When we blame, we are diverting ourselves from us. You are already your own expert... now move into action.

Testimonial

Bev's Laughing and Breathing Belly Workshop for Children was one of the best I have attended. She has a gifted ability to gently connect with children and teach and share with them her techniques of belly breathing, rooting, mind vacations and laughter. These techniques soothe and calm them whenever they feel overwhelmed or anxious - be at school, home or before bed time. Whether you have an overwhelmed pre-schooler or a test-anxious pre-teen, Bev's approach works! I love that she gave parents the tools to model and share these fundamentals of meditation with their children. I would encourage families to take her course...your children will thank you and you will benefit from ways to keep yourself calm and allow wisdom in.
