Carry the Holiday Feeling Throughout the Year

“Our biography becomes our biology.” Caroline Myss

Summer Holiday 2012There is a big playground out there and we get to “play”. Summer holidays – it doesn’t get better than that!

If you are like me you have the intention of balancing work and play all year round and not just waiting for July and August. Can you imagine what it would be like to carry a holiday feeling all year through? Your physical and emotional body would love that!

Throughout the year we can carry seriousness and heaviness. The weight of our thoughts feels heavy and sometimes overwhelming. Then we go on holiday and we begin to breathe differently, long deep breaths, we stretch, we look up more than we look down, we smile, we slow down, our mind relaxes, and we receive rather than always doing.

Wouldn’t it be nice to consciously carry that holiday feeling throughout the year. There have been times where I can’t wait for a holiday and then I journal and ask myself “what am I waiting for?” Whatever I want exists now. So through conscious awareness I invite my focus to be on the feeling on lightness, playfulness, and smiles. Often I take action to change the energy of seriousness so that I feel lighter. For example, I walk with the intention of connecting to nature and beauty, or dance secretly with abandonment, or vibrate as described in the Mastery series. I literally shake off the seriousness and breathe in lightness. I then remember a favourite vignette of a holiday and I relive it to feel it in my body. My body can feel the freedom. I am not on holiday all year through rather than just during July and August.

This focus can be powerful and profound. We have been given the power to influence our health and happiness. We all have the capacity as Masters of moving into higher altitudes and not just wait for holidays. Enjoy July – feel the experience of being on holiday and invite yourself to carry the feeling with you throughout the entire year. We’ve all been given “the goods” to do this. Enjoy.

Welcome the enjoyment of that holiday perspective and feeling and imprint it or stamp it into your consciousness or memory bank so you can call on it and connect to it whenever it is needed.

Testimonial

My daughter, Trinity, attended her first Children’s Empowerment Workshop and she loved it! It has helped her deal with some of the real anxieties that all children go through - from the not so nice kid at school, to the imagination that runs away with her at night time, when we are getting ready for bed.

She practices her rooting and the different breathing techniques that she has learned, and has become stronger and more confident in dealing with different situations.
