Take a plain recipe card. The first thing I want you to write at the top of your card is what is happiness for me? What is happiness for me? When we look at what is happiness for me, I’m coming at it a little bit from a different angle. What are my passions? What do I love to do? Is there balance in my life? For most of us there is not balance in our lives.
I want you to think of five activities that fill you up. So just close your eyes for a moment and think of five activities that put a smile on your face that nurture you in some way. The mind will already start to come in and want to take over and that’s good awareness to know that the mind is coming in and wants to take over but you can’t do that because you are too old or you are too this or you’ve got kids. Just five activities that fill you up. And then when you’re ready I want you to just write them down on the card. If it is four activities that’s fine. If it’s three that’s fine. If it’s six that’s fine. Add to the list and review it regularly.
